Development of novel, innovative systems using centrifugally-based separation of blood cells for patient applications  including cellular immunotherapy and automation of manual laboratory processes.

Extensive interfacing with researchers, translational clinicians, and bio-tech companies in developing both applications and studies for publications.

During this extensive tenure I was involved in development projects

on several world & market-leading systems used in cardiovascular bypass surgery.   I  was also the leader in the transition in the acquisition a blood filter company.  I have been responsible for full project implementation of design controls from exploration through full design development.  I also spent considerable time in the field with customers regarding both laboratory and clinical studies for publication in peer-reviewed professional journals.

Performed research relative to the performance of an artificial lung. Conducted heat transfer studies with a centrifugal liquid-liquid oxygenator utilizing bio-compatible, perfluorocarbons fluids. Also started some initial studies on an artificial hip protheses.
